Alison Gillespie has written for numerous publications nationwide, including Smithsonian, Modern Farmer, and the Chesapeake Bay Journal.

She specializes in environmental feature stories and news briefs, but is happy to cover a wide array of other topics as well. She is also available for copy writing and has written for a select number of trade magazines, small businesses and non-profit organizations.  

Her book, Hives in the City,  tells the story of urban beekeepers struggling to keep their bees alive in the cities of the Mid-Atlantic.
